Obituary

Don R. Jenkins, 80, of Cleveland, TN and formally of Chattanooga, TN passed away on Friday, November 21st, 2014 at his home. He spent most of his life in Chattanooga, but had lived in Cleveland in recent years. He was a member of the Tasso United Methodist Church. He joined the United States Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was retired from Combustion. Don was also a Mason and member of the Shriners.

He is preceded in death by his wife Betty Royse Jenkins; parents James William and Marie Jenkins and one brother James Edward "Tony" Jenkins.

Don leaves behind to cherish his memory a son Michael Jenkins and his wife Carmen, one daughter Julie Lynskey both of Chattanooga, five grandchildren: Alexis, Zach, Madison & Tanner Jenkins and Matthew Lynskey all of Chattanooga also; two sisters Marie Wilkes and June Friar and one brother David E. Jenkins all from the East Ridge area. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday night, November 26th, 2014 in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM located at 2419 Georgetown Road NW in Cleveland, TN.

A graveside service is planned for Friday, November 28th, 2014 at 10:30 AM in the Chattanooga National Cemetery and will conclude with full military honors.
