Obituary

Don Ray Kaylor, 80, of Cleveland, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013, at his home.
He was a well-known businessman, barber and Realtor and developed numerous properties in the Wildwood Avenue area.
He was preceded in death by his father Edward C. Kaylor and mother, Cyrene Richmond. brothers Dewey and John Kaylor, as well as other family members.
He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army at Fort Campbell, Ky.
He was a member of the National Realtors Association and also worked in retirement for the Bradley County Elections Office. He loved his church and members of Waterville Baptist Church where he was a deacon. He was also a member of Cleveland Masonic Lodge No. 134.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Barbara Shell Kaylor; children and spouses: Greg and Melissa Kaylor, of Charleston, Keli Kaylor Eichholtz and Bill, of Knoxville, and, and Chaz Kaylor of Cleveland; grandchildren: Jennifer and Jamey Hawkins of Cleveland, Cory, Tyler and Drew Eichholtz, all of Knoxville, Sarah Beth and Zackary Locke, of Charleston: great grandchildren: Courtney, Jamey Ray, Connor Hawkins, all of Cleveland; sisters:
Ann Kaylor, Charlotte Hall, Sharon Biggs. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A special thanks to the Lantern in Collegedale, caregivers Claudia Anderson and Sonya Moats, and the Alzheimer's Association of Southeast Tennessee and the Bradley County Veteran’s Affairs Office.
Visitation will be held at Waterville Baptist Church Thursday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m,. with the funeral service following. A Masonic funeral will precede regular services.
Pastor Allan Lovelace will officiate the service with readings and thoughts by Cory Eichholtz and Melissa Kaylor.
Cory, Tyler and Drew Eichholtz, Jamey Hawkins, Mike Wilkens and Ray McKay will serve as pallbearers. Forrest "Punkin" Allen, Charles Howard, Claude Shell, Robert Shell, Billy Watson. Joe Davis, Joe Brooks, Keith Frazier and the Rev. Ronnie Childress will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Interment will be at 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pastor Allan Lovelace and his former pastor, the Rev. Ronnie Childress officiating.
Military honors will be performed at the gravesite.
Memorials may be made to Waterville Baptist Church.
