Dillard Wayne Taylor

Dillard Wayne Taylor, 70, of Cleveland, TN, passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024, after a long battle with cancer.

Wayne was born December 16, 1953 in Waycross, GA to Archie and Rachel Taylor. He was a graduate of Lee University with a BS in pastoral counseling and later graduated the school of theology in 2000. Wayne was known for his love of getting to know everyone around him and never meeting a stranger. Wayne was known as the Mayor of his community, and his warm welcome of new residents made each one feel at home.

He is preceded in death by his father, Archie Taylor.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving and devoted wife of nearly 50 years, Donna Taylor; his sons Jason (Ashley) Taylor and Justin (Gladys) Taylor, all of Cleveland, TN; his mother Rachel Taylor; sister Patsy (Lester) Murray; brother Brian Taylor, all of Douglas, GA; and several precious grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Companion Funeral and Cremation Service, Cleveland Chapel, has charge of the arrangements.
