Obituary
 Dieter F. Thornton, 55, a resident of Cleveland passed away on Sunday evening December 2, 2012 in a Chattanooga hospital. Dieter was born on February 5, 1957 in Straus berg Germany. He was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Dieter loved to travel and wrote many letters about the wonderful places he visited and the people he met.
Dieter is preceded in death by one sister Donna Pritt.
He is survived by his father and stepmother Don and Mary Thornton of Batesville, AR, mother Ellie Thornton of Chatsworth, GA, sister Debbie Sharp of Cleveland, niece Sissy Creason, nephews Rex Hamilton Jr., Edward Sharp Jr., and Frank Russell, and numerous other extended family members and friends.
A memorial service is planned and will be announced at a later date in Chatsworth, GA.
