Obituary

Dennis "Denny" C. Johnston, 68, of Athens, TN, passed away Friday, March 21, 2014 at Starr Regional Medical Center. He was born on June 5, 1945, the son of the late Lester C. Johnston and Sonia Murray Johnston. Denny was preceded in death by his best friend and wife of 49 years, Mary L. Johnston, their son John Johnston, and cousin Michael Gillahan. Denny leaves behind to cherish his memory his Uncles, A T Gillahan and Steve Murray, sister-in-law Ann Beauregard, and cousins John D. Gillahan, Kathleen Yeager and Geana Leslie. He is also remembered by many extended family members and close friends. A celebration of Denny and Mary's lives together will be held for the family and close friends on April 5, 2014 at the Gillahan's residence. They will then be laid to rest, as they both wished, with their son John in Michigan at a later date.
