Della Mcgill Rodie

Della McGill Rodie passed away in her home on August 31, 2020. She was born December 28, 1952 in McDonald, TN to the late Walter and Emma McGill. She was of the Baptist faith and was a lifelong member at Corinth Baptist Church in McDonald. Della was a long-time employee of M&M Mars. She had a love for wearing hats and enjoyed picking blueberries out of her garden.

In addition to her mother and father, she is preceded in death by four siblings; Mary Parker, Betty Davis, Bobby McGill, and Ralph “Chick” McGill.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her companion Randy Morris; two children, Felicia Brown and Gary McGill; six siblings, Dorothy Williamson (Bill), Walter “Magoo” McGill (Charlotte), Lorene Swafford (Edgar), Susie Hall, Rachel Pickett (Johnny), and Charlie Mae Scoggins; four grandchildren, Austin McGill, Logan McGill, Patrick McGill, and Magan Brown; Brother-in-law Ronnie Parker; several nieces and nephews; stepson Justin Morris; lifelong friend Sandy Griffin; and many other extended family members, as well as her friends from M&M Mars.

The family will have a Celebration of Life Service at 2:00PM on Sunday, September 6, 2020 at Corinth Baptist Church located at 216 Corinth Church Road in McDonald, TN with Shane Williams and Ricky Howard officiating.
