Deborah Woody

Deborah Woody, of Etowah, went to be with the Lord on September 8, 2024 surrounded by her daughters and loved ones.

Deborah was a lifelong resident of McMinn County. She attended Faith Promise Church in Knoxville, TN. She also was the property manager of Park Crest Apartments in Athens for 28 years. She loved everything outdoors, from hiking in the mountains to being at the beach and lake with her family. She also loved to attend music concerts with friends and family. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Deborah is preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Ida Hooper.

Survived by her two daughters: Krissy (Patrick) Davis and their two sons, Kasen (15) and Kannon (10); and Jill (Kevin) Kosier and their son, Barrett (8).

The family will have the Receiving of Friends on Thursday, September 12 from 4-6 pm at Companion Funeral Home of Athens, TN with the Funeral Service starting at 6pm with Pastor Abby Wheeler officiating. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, September 13 at 1:00pm at Green Hill Cemetery in Etowah, TN.
