Deborah Ann Cavett Cameron

Deborah Ann Cavett Cameron, Debby, born in Cleveland, TN, January 19, 1952 to Albert and Gladys Cavett.

Debby passed away Sunday, June 25, 2023.

Preceded in death are her parents, sisters: Betty Newton, Barbara Austin, Linda Keys; brother: Donald Cavett, 2 nephews, one niece.

Loved ones left to miss her: son, Joshua Cameron, grandchildren: Emma Cameron, Kade Cameron, Brooke Cameron. Many nieces and nephews. As a young girl, visiting the beach captured her heart  Determined to live out her retirement dream, with no hesitation, she gathered her TN belongings and headed out to capture all that was waiting for her.

She spent her time enjoying the many sunrises and sunsets, each one so different. Using the sand as her relaxing spots to see all the different people and events taking place in her new view in a place she enjoyed. She took journeys to see other beaches she had enjoyed as a girl and special trips she had taken with her sisters.

She would reflect as she found spots of nature, places not filled with people. Little coves she could park beside in her sweet yellow VW bug and “just be” where she was, where she had been, family and friends.

She took the time each day to get out and see just what captured her heart many years ago.

Soaking up as many of those moments that made her soul happy.

There were personal kindnesses and sweet deeds she like to find to do. Celebrating and helping when she spotted a friend to highlight for the day, or the moment.

She discovered a group that is committed to clearing the harm happening to her ocean and loved doing pickup work on the beach every day she could join them. She would share the group’s passion to those around her every chance she could.

Companion Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for Debby. Her ashes will be spread in the Atlantic and the Gulf so she may reside in the places she loved.
