Deard Ellis

October 1, 1927 — April 5, 2018

Deard Ellis, 90, of Cleveland, TN, was called to his heavenly home on April 5, 2018. He was a resident at the Lantern in Collegedale, under the supervision of Larry Griffin (NW), where he received exceptional love and care. Deard was preceded in death by his loving wife, Martha “Pat” Ellis; parents, Cleve and Iler Belle Ellis; as well as several brothers and sisters.
Deard was a wonderful, loving father and will be greatly missed by his three sons, Raymond (Valerie), Stephen (Joyce), and Larry (Luann) Ellis; five grandchildren, Katrina, Stephen Jr., Andrew, Jenny, and Taylor; and 6 great-grandchildren, Alex, Brock, Logan, Austin, Megan, and Jaden.
The family will hold a private graveside service at Lee Cemetery, in McDonald, TN, where he will be laid to rest with his beloved wife, Martha.
You are invited to share a personal memory of Deard or your condolences with his family at his online memorial located at www.companionfunerals.com. Companion Funeral and Cremation Service and the Cody family are honored to assist the Ellis family with these arrangements.
