David Stillwell

David Stillwell, age 63 of Copperhill, departed this life on Saturday, February 5, 2022. Born on November 10, 1958 to the late Willard and Caramel Swanson Stillwell, he was a native and lifelong resident of East Polk County and a member of Grassy Creek Baptist Church. David was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved dirt track racing and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Laura Stillwell; sister, Daisy Stillwell; brother, Junior Stillwell; and sister-in-law, Sharon Stillwell.
Left behind to cherish David’s memory are his daughter, Valerie Housley(Jason); granddaughters, Ravyn Housley and Kelsey Woodard; great-grandchild, McKenzie Smotherman; brothers, Jerry Stillwell(Anita), Paul Stillwell (Nina), James Stillwell(Joy), and Don Stillwell; sister, Jeanette Elrod; and sister-in-law, Teri Stillwell; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Life and Home going for David Morris Stillwell will be held at 3p.m. Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Grassy Creek Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery with Grant Stillwell, Vaughn Stillwell, Shannon Green, Ray Arthur, Sam Stillwell, and Howard Akins. Jr. serving as active pallbearers. Jason Payne, Jason Housley, and David’s siblings will be honorary pallbearers
The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the funeral hour on Thursday at the church.
