David Roy Evans, 72, a resident of Cleveland, TN passed away Sunday, April 14, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family after an extended illness. David was self-employed for many years, first owning D.R. Evans Welding Services and later owned and operated Crosshairs Shooter Supply. He and Gale were devoted members of Union Grove Church of Christ. David was also a member of the Cleveland Amateur Radio Club and served the community as a Public Service officer with the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office for a number of years. David was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, L.A and Margie Evans; granddaughter, Jessica Kennett
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 52 years, Gale Evans; children, Patrick Evans, Kim Buckner and spouse Scott, Shannon Evans, and Andy Evans; grandchildren, Samantha Evans, Dalton Evans (Kristen Ryan), Joey Buckner and spouse Anna, Addie Banks and spouse Cody, Emma Evans, and Cole Evans; great grandchildren, Abegayle Evans, Morgan Thompson, Brayden Johnson, Colton Johnson, and Zoey Buckner; brother, Robert Earl Evans and spouse Nicki; along with several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
The family will receive friends Thursday, April 18, 2019 from 4-7pm at Companion Funeral Home: Cleveland Chapel. A celebration of life service will be held Friday, April 19, 2019 at 1pm in the Companion Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
