David Pike, a devoted man of faith with an unwavering love for his wife, Linda McDaniel Pike, peacefully passed away on May 18, 2024, in Chattanooga, TN, at the age of 85. His life was a testament to his deep-rooted spirituality and his profound affection for his beloved Linda. David was a proud veteran that honorably served our country.
From an early age, David's heart was dedicated to his religious beliefs. Saved at Ider Baptist Church, he embarked on a lifelong journey of sharing his faith with others. As an ordained deacon and a cherished member of Bible Baptist Church, David's devotion to God was evident in every aspect of his life. He found joy in spreading the gospel, often through his passion for recording gospel CDs, which he eagerly shared with those around him.
David's love for Linda was unparalleled. Together, they celebrated 63 years of marriage on April 29th, 2024, a union built on mutual respect, understanding, and enduring love. Linda was his rock, his confidante, and his soulmate, and their bond was a source of inspiration to all who knew them.
In addition to his cherished wife, David is survived by his brothers Kenneth and John Pike, and his sisters Mary Jo Kay and Brenda Richmond. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Zora Pike, as well as his brothers Sidney Pike and Leman Pike, and his sister Marie McCrary.
David's life was a living testament to the verse from Psalm 116:15 (KJV), "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints." His passing marks the transition of a devout servant of God into the arms of his Creator, where he will find eternal peace and rest.
David's final care was entrusted to Companion Funeral and Cremation Service, Chattanooga Chapel, Though he may no longer walk among us, the legacy of his faith, love, and devotion will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know him.
