David Lee Massey

David Lee Massey, 52, of Cleveland, TN passed away on January 25, 2016. He was born on July 18, 1963. David was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving multiple tours overseas and being awarded a number of accolades including Colonial rank, a Purple Heart, and Bronze Star Medal. In addition to his service to our country, which was his foremost passion, he enjoyed history, Alabama Football, boating, and motorcycles.
David leaves behind to cherish his wife and companion of more than six years, Teresa Massey; father James C. Massey (Emma), mother Ruth Massey; daughter Marissa Massey; sons Michael Massey and Clinton Cooke (Amy); brother James M. Massey; sisters: Jessica Adams (Dennis) and Teresa Woods (David). He is also survived by two dogs Popeye and Lola.
A funeral service will be held at 7:00pm on Thursday January 28, 2016 at Clingan Ridge Baptist Church Located at 2412 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 3711. The family will receive friends from 4:00pm until 7:00pm prior to the service on Thursday. Interment will be held at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with full military honors on Friday January 29, 2016 at 11:30am.
