Obituary

David Earl Bowling, 72, a resident of Cleveland, TN went home to be with his Lord and Savior on March 5th, 2014. He was born in London, Kentucky in the community of Greenmount. David has made his home in Cleveland, TN for the last 50 years raising his family here. David worked as a Landscaper and in lawn care in Cleveland for many years. David owned his own business Bowling Landscaping running it from the early 1970's to the present. He was an avid fisherman, who had taken part in many tournaments throughout the area and through many years. He loved being with friends, hearing and telling stories and jokes. He pulled many magic tricks on people just to see the amazement on their faces. He loved listening to bluegrass music and watching people and friends "pick in N grin in". He worked at Peyton's Southeastern for the last 15 years where he enjoyed his work and co-workers. He was only ready to retire after his recent illness.

His father Emory Bowling , mother and stepfather Lorene and Russell Adams preceded David in death. David also had, two brothers Roy Bowling and William Bowling and one nephew Steven Bowling preceding him in death.

David is survived by his loving son and daughter-in-law Mark D. and Tina Bowling, one grandson Emory G. and one granddaughter Claudia R. Bowling all of Georgetown, TN. Daughter and son-in-law Teresa L. and Dennis Campbell of Florida, the mother of his children and friend Phyllis A. Bowling of Cleveland, TN, one sister and brother-in-law Betty and Eldon Ledger of Hamilton, OH, one brother James Bowling of Los Angeles, CA, two sister-in-laws Juanita Bowling and Sue Bowling of London, Kentucky , several nieces and nephews of the state of Kentucky.

A celebration of David's life is planned for Monday night, March 10th, 2014 at 8:00 PM at the Stuart Park Baptist Church located at 850 17th Street NW in Cleveland, TN with the Reverend Jim Mathis officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church on Monday night from 6:00 PM until the 8:00 PM service time.

David will be laid to rest in the Calhoun Memorial Cemetery in a private ceremony.
