Obituary
David B. Buckner, 71, of Ocoee, TN passed away at his home on Monday October 21, 2013 surrounded by friends and family. He was born on April 11, 1942 in Bradley County to the late Clyde and Lola Buckner. He attended Temple Baptist Church in Cleveland, TN. David loved to fish, taking care of his farm animals, and will forever be remembered as a very strong man, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
In addition to his mother and father, he is preceded in death by one granddaughter Amber Chrisman, three brothers Charlie, Jack, and Jr. Buckner, and one brother in law, William Redd.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 34 years Lennie Buckner, eight children Judy Clements (Hoyt), David Rodney Buckner, Janet Randolph (Tony Stephens ), Tammy Gentry (Tommy), Robin Roe (John), Nancy Ward, Allen Howard (Tracey), Kim Ward (Lee), eleven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, five sisters Ethel Slaughter (Marvin), Reba Cate (Carl), Hazel Redd, Charlotte McClure (Doug), Cathy Cate (Wayne). He also leaves behind several extended family members and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 PM on Friday October 25, 2013 at Temple Baptist Church located at 3070 Harrison Pike, Cleveland, TN 37311. A funeral service will be held at the church at 8:00PM with Rev. Paul Fox officiating.
