Dave B. Waldroup

Dave B. Waldroup, 76, a resident of Old Fort, Tennessee passed away on Saturday morning, February 10, 2018. Dave was born on February 21, 1941 to the late Clee & Roxie Waldroup. He attended Family Worship Center, where he greatly loved his church family. Many knew Dave from his excellent and diligent work as an electrician. More than anything, Dave loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Ruth Walker, Mamie Morgan, and Cecil Waldroup.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Lodie Jones Waldroup; children, Dania Waldroup and Brad Waldroup; step-children, Tauddy Laney and Stanley & Krystal Minnick; grandchildren, Valerie, Daelyn, Alex, Angelic, Chelsea, Ashley, Elijah, and Emily Waldroup, Dillon, Brianna, and Colin Davis Laney, and Nick and Tony Minnick; siblings, Mitchell Waldroup, Gene & Ann Waldroup, Johnny & Deb Waldroup, Virginia “Crickett” & Enoch Green, Kathryn & George Bramlett, and Lilly & Bill Silvers; as well as countless nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Family will receive friends from 4:00pm until 6:00pm on Tuesday February 13, 2018 at the Family Worship Center, located at 4271 Dalton Pike SE, Cleveland, TN 37323.
A celebration of life service will follow the visitation, starting at 6:00pm at the church with Reverend Isaac Walker officiating the service.
Dave will be laid to rest in the Greasy Creek Cemetery on Wednesday during a private family graveside service. Dillon Laney, Stanley Minnick, Lucas Jones, Michael Waldroup, Dewight Waldroup, and Darrell Walker will be serving as pall bearers. Honorary pall bearers will be Mitchell Waldroup, Gene Waldroup, and Johnny Waldroup.
