Darlene Fielder Ferguson

Darlene Ferguson was born June 24, 1947 and departed for Heaven on February 19, 2022. She is survived by her husband Larry Ferguson of 56 years, two daughters Michelle (spouse Brad) Huskey and Melissa (spouse Mike) Harrison. Darlene is also survived by six grandchildren Luke (spouse Adriana) Harrison, Ben (spouse Allison) Huskey, Joseph Huskey, Levi Harrison, Lydia Harrison and Lance Harrison and two great grandchildren Elliot and Liam Harrison. Surviving also are one brother Dale (spouse Margaret) Fielder of Oblong, Illinois. Other surviving family members include Erma Fielder, Michael (spouse Debbie) Fielder, Mark (spouse Teresa) Fielder, Teresa Kay Fielder, Allen (spouse Jennifer) Fielder, and Bryan (spouse Linda Gayle) Fielder.
Darlene accepted Christ as her savior at the age of twelve. After her marriage, she and her husband spent their working life serving the Lord in Christian Education. A highlight of her life was the time spent serving at the International Institute of ACE working with college students.
Another highlight of her life was the fourteen years serving with the Rock of Ages ministry in Cleveland, TN. She loved interacting with the missionaries at Rock of Ages.
What brought her the most joy was her love for family and her grandchildren, who affectionately called her Granny. She was their biggest cheerleader and loved on them deeply and without reservation.
Heaven is brighter today as Darlene looks into the light of her Savior’s face.
A Celebration of Life and Home going for Darlene Fielder Ferguson will be held at 3p.m. Wednesday, February 23, 2022 from Shenandoah Baptist Church with Pastor David Gamble officiating. A Private family committal service will follow in Cedar Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1p.m. until the funeral hour on Wednesday at the church.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the mission fund at Shenandoah Baptist Church
