In Loving Memory of Darlene Renee Bain

Darlene Renee Bain, age 66, of Mc Donald, TN, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2023. She was born on June 18, 1957, in Cleveland, TN, to her proud parents the late J.B. McDowell and Mary Jewell McDowell.

Darlene led a simple and fulfilling life, finding joy in the little things. She was a devoted cat lover, and her furry companions, Rollie and Salem, brought her immense happiness. In her spare time, she found solace in playing games on her phone, always seeking new challenges and adventures.

As a young woman, Darlene served as a dispatcher for the Meigs County Sheriff's Department and later in life she worked for many years at Shaw Industries.

Above all, Darlene was a selfless and devoted mother. She constantly put the needs of her family above her own. Her bond with her family was unshakeable.

Darlene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Ricky Bain. Their reunion in heaven brings comfort to those left behind, knowing they are together once more.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Shanna "Dee dee" Leight and Thomas Ricky "Tom" Bain Jr. She is also survived by her siblings, Linda Hickman (Walter) and Ronald "Yogi" McDowell (Barbara), as well as her cherished granddaughters, Katie and Temprence. She also leaves behind very special friends Kathy Green and Sheila Thomas.

The family invites relatives and friends to join them in honoring Darlene's life. Visitation will be held at Companion Funeral & Cremation Service in Cleveland on September 19, 2023, starting at 12:00 pm. A Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 pm, also at Companion Funeral & Cremation Service. Following the service, a Graveside Service will take place at McMinn Memory Gardens at 3:30 pm. Pastor Timothy Gann will be presiding over the services.

Darlene will forever be remembered for her selflessness and the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Her memories will be held dear by all who were fortunate enough to have known her.

May her gentle soul rest in eternal peace.
