Danny Rickey "Dano" Milen

Obituary
Danny Rickey Milen, 63, affectionately known as “Dano” a lifelong resident of Ocoee, TN moved to his Heavenly home on Saturday night, September 28th, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. Dano was born in Cleveland, TN on February 18th, 1950 a son of the late Oscar and Ada Milen. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Clingan Ridge Baptist Church. Dano worked for thirty six plus years until his recent retirement from the Eaton Corporation. He loved hunting and riding four wheelers in his past time. Dano loved his church and church family and worked in the Awana program for several years. Dano will always be remembered for being a friend to everyone he met, but most important was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather.

In addition to his parents Dano is preceded in death by one sister Lillian Noel and one brother Dal Milen.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of thirty five years Hatti Thomason Milen, one daughter Diana Milen Lewis, one son James Milen, one granddaughter Landri Lewis, three brothers Ralph Milen (Faye) and David Milen (Daphne) both of Benton, TN and Bobby Milen of Ocoee, TN, one sister-in-law Peggy Milen of Charlotte, NC and one brother-in-law Charles Noel of Porter, TX. Dano is also survived by numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends, coworkers and church family.

A celebration of his life is planned for Tuesday night, October 1st, 2013 at 7:00 PM at the Clingan Ridge Baptist Church located at 2412 Georgetown Road NW in Cleveland, TN with the Reverend Homer Roberts officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday afternoon from 3:00 PM until the 7:00 PM service time.

The interment will take place on Wednesday morning, October 2nd, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Cumberland Shed Cemetery in Ocoee, TN with Buddy “Raymond” Thomason, Roy Thomason, Johnny Thomason, Lige Thomason, Neil Thomason and Steve Thomason serving as pallbearers. The funeral procession will leave Clingan Ridge Baptist Church at 10:30 AM on Wednesday morning.
