Danny M. Blakely

Danny M. Blakely, 64, a resident of Cleveland, Tn passed away on Wednesday, May 3rd, 2017 in a local healthcare facility. He was born in Greenville, SC on October 28th, 1952. He was a 1972 graduate of Bradley Central High School. Danny was retired from Jackson Manufacturing. He was a member of Community Hall Church. He was a dedicated volunteer at The Caring Place where he spent many hours serving others. During his time there, Danny won “Volunteer of the Year” for the year 2015 for his service to his community. He spent his last few years at Brookdale Health Care Facility where he enjoyed teaching a Bible Study class and calling Bingo.

He is preceded in death by his wife Linda Blakely and his mother Doris Blakely.

Danny leaves behind to cherish his memory his father Bill Blakely, two brothers Fred Blakely and Russ Blakely (Tracie), several nieces, nephews and numerous other extended family members and friends. The family would like to thank the entire staffs of Brookdale and Caris Healthcare for the excellent care of Danny.

A celebration of his life is planned for Monday, May 8th, 2017 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown Road in Cleveland, TN with Pastor Jeanie Cissom and Pastor Guinn Green officiating. Interment will follow in the Fort Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 11:00 AM until the 1:00 PM service time in the funeral home parlor.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made either to
The Caring Place or the Dorcas Circle of Community Hall Church in Danny’s memory.
