Daniel R. Rodgers Jr.

Daniel R. Rodgers Jr., 53, a resident of Riceville, TN passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at Park West Medical Center in Knoxville, TN following a brief illness. He was of the Baptist faith. Daniel enjoyed being around family and friends, NASCAR, sports and all-around life in general.
He is preceded in death by his father Daniel R. Rodgers Sr. and grandparents Horace & Emma Riden, Frank Rodgers and Mary Fennell.
Daniel leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother Nora Rodgers of Riceville, one sister Carol Burnette and her husband Mark of Athens, TN, one brother Dallas Rodgers and his wife Lynette, two nephews Darrin Burnette of Athens and Elijah Rodgers and one niece Emma Rodgers both of Riceville all of whom he loved dearly. He is also survived by numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening, November 8, 2019 from 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM in the Athens Chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 400 S White Street in Athens, TN. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 6:30 PM with the Reverend Keith Watson and the Reverend Herman Jordan officiating.
