Daniel Emery

In loving memory of Daniel Emery, 67 of Chattanooga passed peacefully into his Lord and Savior's arms on Sunday, January 14,2024. He was born in Lafayette, Georgia on August 4, 1956, to the late Bronnie Lee and William Marvin Emery.

Dan was a graduate of Hixson High and the University of Tennessee Chattanooga, where he was a very talented linebacker. He spent decades working with young men in community football programs as well as assistant linebacker coach at Boyd Buchanan School. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #91 where he volunteered to help with veterans and community needs.

Dan was also proceeded in death by his brother, Gary Ronald Emery; his paternal grandparents; Marvin and Eva Emery of Chattanooga and maternal grandparents; John and Minnie Knight of Pansey, Alabama.

Left to cherish his memory are sons, Shaun (Kaley) Emery and Seth Emery and their caring mother, Diana Gill Emery, wife of many years and friend. His grandchild; Khloe Ann Emery. His siblings; Joni Emery McGee, Marvin "Al" Emery and Pam Emery (Clyde) Rush.

There will be a celebration of life at Companion Funeral Home in Chattanooga, TN on February 11th, 2024, with visitation from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM and service at 2:00 PM.
