Dale Welch

January 30, 1960 — September 19, 2023

Dale Trenton Welch, 63, of Maryville, passed away on September 19, 2023 at UT Medical Center. He was born on January 30, 1960 in Maryville to the late Lloyd and Ruby Welch.

Dale was a member of Anchor of Hope Church and was a Christian. He played drums at the church. His favorite thing was to play drums and sit on the porch and read his Bible and watch the birds and he would talk to them. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle, but his pride and joy was going to church, and he would not miss church. He loved going places with his brother, Roger and sitting outside to talk to the whole family. Dale loved everyone and forgave everyone. He always said if I've done anything wrong, please forgive me and he would ask everyone that. He worked as a janitor before he got sick.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ruby, L Swindell, Gary L Welch, Don E. Welch; sister, Sandra Kay Wilson and stepfather, Bill Swindell.

Dale is survived by his brothers, Roger L Welch, Eddy L. Welch and his wife, Julia Welch; sisters, Gaynell O'Dell and her husband, Gene O'Dell; Betty Hyatt and her husband, Wayne Hyatt; several nieces and nephews and his Pastor Coral Crowe and his wife, Judy Crowe.

There will be a Graveside Service at Ridgeview Cemetery on Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 3:00 to 4:00 pm.

You are encouraged to share a memory of Dale and/or your personal condolences with his family by visiting his memorial webpage and guestbook at www.companionfunerals.com. Companion Funeral Home of Athens is honored to assist his family with these arrangements.
