Dale Leroy Rogers

May 11, 1950 — May 20, 2025

Dale Leroy Rogers (75) peacefully left the hands of his family to join hands with the Lord on May 20th, 2025.

A proud Navy veteran and graduate of Wadsworth High School in Wadsworth, Ohio, Dale spent most of his life in the Wadsworth area. He dedicated 45 years of hard work first as a Plant Foreman and later Plant Manager at IMC/Aim Cor/Unimin. During that time, he and his wife, Janet, also lovingly restored a historic home in Medina, Ohio, opening The Spitzer House Bed and Breakfast in 1993. Together, they ran a successful business for 17 years before relocating to Chattanooga, Tennessee for Dale's job.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Dale and Opal (Leech) Rogers; his sister, Deborah Rogers; niece, Samantha Warren; nephew, Matthew LaVoie; in-laws, Dana and Nina (Jones) Westfall; sisters-in-law, Sherry Westfall and Cyndy Rogers; and his beloved dogs, Max, Jules, and Gram.

He is survived by his favorite person and the love of his life, his wife of 50 years, Janet (Westfall) Rogers; his daughters, Mistydae Junko (Mike) and Cheyenne Yarber (Jason); and his three adored grandchildren, Ryan, Bryn, and Madison.

He is also survived by his siblings: Chris Poole (Dan), George Rogers (Lynette), Pat Rogers, Dave Rogers, Charlene Mullet (Randy); his sisters-in-law: Barbie Eshack (Rob), Susan Westfall, and Lisa Westfall; and many loving nieces and nephews: Crystal Bradley, Troy Poole (Ayse), Brian Rogers (Judy), Josh Poole (Kelly), Jake Poole (Holland), Randy Mullet (Raycene), Jessica Mullet, Heather Vealey (Daniel), Ashley Rogers, Becca Rogers, Jimmy Rodgers (Lisa), Jason Littlebear Rodgers, Jessica Davies (Matt), Jesse LaVoie (Angie), Brian Lavoie (Dian), Sean LaVoie (Lori), Jack LaVoie (Tina), Jeremiah Eshack, Jacob Eshack (Elizabeth), and Zechariah Eshack (Katie).

Dale lived life with joy and purpose. He proudly wore his Navy Veteran cap unless it was game day, then it was replaced by one supporting Ohio State, Pitt, Ohio University, Upper St. Clair Football, or the Cleveland Indians. Occasionally, the Browns cap would make an appearance, but only briefly (the heartbreak was too much). He was a lifelong sports lover, playing through his youth, in the Navy, and later in a Senior Softball League in Pittsburgh.

More than anything, Dale showed up. For everything. Always. He was the most present and devoted husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend anyone could hope for. Selfless, detail-oriented, and full of integrity, he lived by positive example and lifted everyone around him. He was the gold standard in people.

He found peace in long walks through the park and across Chattanooga's walking bridge with Janet and their dog, Donder. He was a builder, a fixer, and a sharp wit, always ready with a joke, a smile and a helping hand.

Cancer sucks. Dale fought the good fight, and now, he rests. His family and friends are forever grateful to have loved and been loved by him.
