Dale Lambert

August 21, 1938 — December 6, 2023

Dale B. Lambert, 85, a longtime resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away in his home on Wednesday, December 6, 2023. Dale was born in Maryville, TN in 1938. He attended Tennessee Military Institute (TMI) from the early age of eleven. While at TMI he played football, became a Battalion leader, and later the Parade Commandant. Dale married his high school sweetheart, his wife of 66 years, Kaye, on Aug 27, 1957.

Dale was a custom home builder, executive at Fay Swafford Enterprises and entrepreneur until retirement. He was an avid outdoorsman and hunter. He greatly enjoyed hunting and fly fishing with his grandson lan in Cherokee, North Carolina. He loved to travel with his wife, especially in the western United States. During his travels, he enjoyed learning the local history of each area and was keenly interested in Native American history. He was an avid storyteller of his life's many adventures.

He is survived by his devoted wife Kaye Lambert, and their three daughters Lisa Stanbery, Erika Lambert and Adelia Mosley. Son-in-laws John Stanbery DDS, Robert Beaty and Jere Mosley. Grandchildren Alex Stanbery, lan Stanbery (Allyson), Audrey Gilley (Jerod) and Ethan Mosley. Special nephew Ray Best, niece Judy Smith, nephew-in-law Bob Kaufman. Close family friend, Dr. Matt McCartney.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Hearth Hospice and Dr. Kent Chastain for his dedicated care over the years. A special thank you to Lesa Silvers for the exceptional care and compassion she provided.

Dale expressed his wish to thank Brian Brown for visiting every week and sharing the Word of God, praying and helping him to find faith and forgiveness.

A private service will be held a later date.
