Emblem

Cyrus Andrew Lightfoot, also known as C.A., peacefully passed away on February 7, 2024, in Cleveland, TN, at the age of 88. Born on September 8, 1935, in Chattanooga, TN, to the late Johnie and Bertha Lightfoot.

C.A. was preceded in death by his parents, Johnie and Bertha Lightfoot, his loving daughters Kay Frances Lightfoot and Betty Lyles, his dear daughter-in-law Pamela Renee Lightfoot, and his brothers RJ Rollin Lightfoot and Joe Lightfoot.

Celebrating his life and mourning his loss are his devoted wife of 58 years, Carol Lightfoot, his son, John Paul Lightfoot, and his son in heart, Tate McDermott. His grandchildren, Tim Lightfoot, Dustin Lightfoot, and Tesha McDermott, and his many great-grandchildren. His sister in heart, Gisela Escobar, also survives him.

C.A.'s professional life was a testament to his dedication and strong work ethic, marked by long days under the sun, nurturing the fields he cherished so dearly. His life as a farmer was not simply a career; it was a calling that he embraced wholeheartedly. Always one to appreciate the beauty of mechanics, C.A. took pride in his collection of vintage vehicles, with a Ford Model A and a 1957 Chevrolet among his prized possessions.

A heartwarming note of gratitude is extended to Wendy and Randy Speegle, Poncho, Thelma Jones, and Josh Parker, whose care and support meant the world to C.A. and his family during his final days.

The family welcomes friends and loved ones to honor C.A. at visitations scheduled for Tuesday, February 13, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home, and on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Antioch Church of Christ in Old Fort, TN.
