Cynthia Jean Helton

Cynthia Jean Helton, 61, of Charleston, TN passed away on May 7, 2021. She was born on April 4, 1960 to Carl Ray Hooper and Betty Jean Sneed Hooper.
She was a 1978 graduate of Bradley Central High School and has worked at McKee Bakery for the past 7 years. Cindy never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew her. She loved going to the beach and was an avid animal lover-especially her cats. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her father Carl Ray Hooper; two brothers: Wesley Alan and Randall Hooper; grandparents: Mildred and Charlie Sneed and Jay Hue and Bernola Hooper.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband Tom Helton; precious grandson Rhett Morgan; son Lebron Ownbey (Tabby); daughter Torie Chastain; mother Betty Jean Hooper; sister Christy Hartley (Allen); nieces and nephews: Taylor Underwood, Kelsie Hartley, Jacob Hartley and Brady Hooper; aunts Barbara McCallum, Reba Webb, Linda Gentry, Shirley Gaylor, and uncle Jimmie Sneed.
A celebration of Cindy’s life will be held at 5:00pm on Tuesday May 11, 2021 in the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home. Her family will receive friends from 3:00pm until 5:00pm prior to the service. She will be laid to rest following the service at Candies Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
