Cynthia Carol Vander Wilt

Cynthia (Cindy) Carol Odom Vander Wilt, 59, of Birchwood, TN, passed away July 8, 2023, in Nashville, TN. Born July 21, 1963, in Camden, TN to the late Jerry and Carolyn Odom. Cynthia obtained her bachelor’s degree and worked in the childcare industry. She was a faithful member of Ooltewah United Methodist Church. Cynthia loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved cross stitching, crafts, and traveling.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Dale Odom.

Survived by her loving husband, Brian Vander Wilt; children, Leesha (Vander Wilt) Smith (Daughter) and son-in-law, Alan Smith; son, Kristofer Vander Wilt and fiancé, Caitlyn Bailey; Mara Vander Wilt (daughter); Nathan Vander Wilt (son) and Schuyler (daughter-in-law); granddaughter, Alexzanderia (Lexzi) Vander Wilt; siblings, Michael Odom and Richard Odom; sister-in-law, Sheila Odom.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM-1:00 PM, Thursday, July 13, 2023, at Ooltewah United Methodist Church, 6131Relocation Way, Ooltewah, TN 37363, followed by the service at 1:00 PM. Pastor Alan Cassady, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that you send toys to Kris Vander Wilt, 965 Mulberry Hill PL, Antioch, TN 37013. They will be distributed to Children Hospitals as Cindy loved children.
