Curtis Lamar Shook

Curtis Lamar Shook, 54, a resident of Benton, TN passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2020. He was born in Hamilton County on August 11, 1965 a son of the late Charles Edward Shook Sr. and Virginia Lee Sutton. Curtis was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed fishing, restoring old cars and street rod cars in his spare time.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother Charles Edward “Duck” Shook Jr. and stepfather Rooster Monneyham.
Curtis leaves behind to cherish his memory his fiancé Monica D. Keith, two daughters Mandi Shubert (Michael) and Cassandra Taylor, one son Jeremy Johnson, four step daughters Haleigh Keith, Hannah Keith, Whitney Raines and Alyxis Ervin, siblings: Riley & Renee’ Shook of Ringgold, GA, Sara Janet Goins of Cleveland, Shelia Luther of Benton and Billy Shook of Cleveland, sister-in-law Joan Shook of Cleveland, eleven grandchildren, very special aunts Linda Beavers and Freida & Ronnie Stevenson, special friend Jeff Redmer, numerous other extended family members and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, May 27, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the Cleveland chapel of Companion Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow the visitation time at 7:00 PM with Pastor Mitchell Wright officiating.
The interment and committal service will take place on Thursday morning, May 28, 2020 at 11:00 AM in the New McDonald Eastview Cemetery with Billy Sutton, Chris Carden, Bo Allison, Earl Dockery, Nathan Buckner and Dylan Wade serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Shook and Billy Kinney.
