Coty James Brooks, age 30 of Cleveland, passed away June 15, 2022. Coty was born on February 28, 1992 in St George, Utah to David and Sherry (Brooks) Bowers. Coty loved everyone. He loved peace and harmony. He loved to help the homeless and the elderly. He could not stand for anyone to go hungry. Coty had a tremendous love for children and animals; and enjoyed nature, mixing music, and having a good time with his friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandma Teresa Kelley who met him in heaven along with his great-grandparents, Helen and Richard Viola, Jr and Frances and Alfred Brooks; but mainly, Coty joined Jacklynn Danielle Sneed, his true love in Glory and their love story lives on.
Coty leaves behind to cherish his memory, his momma Sherry Denise Brooks and Pops David H. Bowe; sister, and brother-in-law, Kirsten and Matthew Wendling; two neices Mattalyn and Kalysta Wendling; nephew Cason Wendling; His grandaddy, Alfred Brooks, Sr.; papaw, Lavon Kelley, Jr.; aunts, Christine Lunsford and Marsha Russell; uncle, A. Terry Brooks, Jr.; cousins Casey and Shelby Lee, Dewayne Atkinson; Johnny Briggs, Jr., and Caleb Lunsford; grandmother, Vonnie Cheeves; as well as several extended family and a host of friends and family he loved dearly.
A Celebration of Life and Home going for Coty will be held at 7PM Tuesday, June 21, 2022 from the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
The family will receive friends from 5PM until the funeral hour.
