On Monday morning, March 11, 2024, Cora Jane Roe, 87, of Cleveland, went to her Heavenly home. Jane was a godly woman who loved the Lord and her family. She set an example for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren that will lead them throughout their lives.
Jane was born in Danbury, Connecticut on June 7, 1936 to the late Ruth Palmer Davis.
Cora loved her Savior, Jesus, and reading His word with all her heart. Although she was humble and gentle, she was also a powerful prayer warrior! Only heaven knows the eternal impact of her countless years of praying. She left an everlasting mark on her family, friends, and everyone who was blessed to know her. She was a member of Durkee Road Church of God of Prophecy where she taught Sunday School. She was a faithful follower of God for 60 years.
Jane is survived by her daughters, Debbie and Tammy; grandchildren David and Michelle Morris, and Alesha and Alonzo Jones. Great Grandchildren Isaiah, Jalyn, Sebastian, Hannah, Loveayah, Abigail, and Azariah. Also her longtime friend Barbara Hicks who called faithfully every day.
The family would also like to say a special thanks to the nurses and staff from Signature Healthcare for taking such loving care of Cora.
The family will receive friends on Thursday March 14, 2024 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Companion Funeral Home in Cleveland. A service celebrating her life will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel. Interment will be March 15, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
