Claude Lamar Wilson of Cleveland, passed away Friday, August 30, 2024. Claude worked at Whirlpool for 36 years. He got his first job at Watson's Food Store, when he was 16; he then bought his home at age 24; and married his high school sweetheart at age 26. He loved to play paint ball with his friends, and loved going to Gatlinburg. He had a love for art, which many people never knew. He was known for being the best child a parent could have and the best husband a woman could want.
He was proceeded in death by his parents Claude Hoyle Wilson and Linda Louise Wilson; his maternal grandmother Louise Bryson Pell; paternal grandmother Hazel Nelms Metcalf; mother in law and father in law Harry and Linda Rhodes.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Kari Lee Wilson of Cleveland; sister in law and brother in law, Rhonda and Brian Black of Cleveland, Lee Rhodes of Cleveland; several aunts of Cleveland, uncles James Thomas Pell of Kingsport, TN, and Ralph Pell of Dayton, TN; aunt, Jeanette Adams of Ringgold, GA, who was by his side when he passed; several cousins all of Cleveland, TN, and one from Graysville, TN, Sharon Thompson, who was also at his side when he passed.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at 11:00 am in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers include Jim Bob Revell, Jay Kyle, Marc Thompson, and Garrett Thompson.
