Claude Mantooth Sr, 83, a lifelong resident of Ball Play, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2018 at a local healthcare facility. Claude retired after working his whole life at Conasauga Lumber Co. after which he continued his love for woodworking in his own shop that he had at his home. Claude also loved to fish during his retirement. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Connie Mantooth; parents, Sam and Winnie Mantooth; brothers, Troy, Jerry, Riley, Clyde, and Roy Mantooth; sisters, Linda Faye and Reathel Mantooth, Carzella Pritchett, Easter Holder, and Brenda Roderick.
Claude leaves behind to cherish his memory, his son, Claude Mantooth Jr; sister, Gayla Brunk (Garry); as well as many other nieces, nephews, and extended family.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, Decemeber 4, 2018 from 12-2pm at Ball Play Baptist Church. The celebration of life service will be at 2pm immediately following the visitation. Interment will follow the service in the Ball Play Baptist Church cemetery.
