Christopher Brian O'Neal

Christopher Brian O’Neal, 48, of Cleveland, passed away peacefully at home on March 5, 2023, surrounded by family. Chris was born on May 21, 1974, in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia. He is a 1992 graduate of Bradley Central High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

Chris worked alongside his dad, John O’Neal, at Bradley Oxygen Service. In his spare time, “O’Neal” enjoyed spending time in the great outdoors, was an avid history and political enthusiast, and loved cheering on his beloved University of Georgia Dawgs during the good and not so great seasons…. GO DAWGS!

He is preceded in death by his mother, Linda Charlene Crawford O’Neal; brother in law, Jeffrey Blan Sherrill; grandparents, Dan and Georgia O’Neal, Cecil and Francis Crawford; aunt and uncle, Charles and Pat Lusk.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his father, John Daniel O’Neal of Cleveland; sister, Tonia Sherrill (Randy Moseley) of Goose Creek, South Carolina; nephew, Jonathan Blan Sherrill of Goose Creek, South Carolina; nieces, Stella Grace Sherrill of Chapel Hill, North Carolina and Anna Michelle Sherrill of Chattanooga, Tennessee; Aunts and Uncles: Gary and Debbie Killen, Larry and Billie Crawford; cousins: Ariel and Kevin Sweeney, Daniel Killen, Allen Lusk (Doris), Kim Hardeman (Mike), Clark Lusk (Michelle), Brooke Stanfill (Shane), Rick Crawford (Donna), Karen Cofer (Gerald), Shawn Crawford (Piper) and Craig Crawford (Lisa). He also leaves behind two very special “second cousins” Evelyn Sweeney and Eli Sweeney.

The family would like to thank Hearth Hospice for going above and beyond for Chris and the family.
