Christine Crisp Nation, 65, of Etowah, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday morning, December 18, 2019. Born on April 12, 1954, she was of the Christian faith and was nondenominational. Spreading the love and the Word of the Lord was her passion. She loved helping others and praising our Lord. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ora Monroe and Blossie Easter Farris Crisp; infant son, Stacey; and 12 brothers and sisters.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of nearly 51 years, William Nation; children, Lisa Nation, Christie (Lee) Watkins, and Dewayne “Edward” Nation; siblings, Ethel Rogers, Katherine Ramsey, Patsy Guthrie and Tony Crisp; 5 grandchildren, William Watkins, Dewayne Watkins, Anna Altstatt, Ashley Kincannon and Felicia Nation; two great-grandchildren, Mason Lee and McKenzie Watkins; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00PM – 7:00PM on Friday, December 20, 2019, as well as 12:00PM – 1:00PM on Saturday, December 21, 2019, in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2415 Georgetown Road in Cleveland. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, December 21, following visitation. Interment will follow the service at Shiloh Cemetery in Meigs County.
