Christ William "Bill" Bergman Jr.

Christ William "Bill" Bergman Jr., 85, a resident of Delano, TN passed away on Monday night, August 1st, 2016 at his home. He was born in Bryan, Ohio on March 24th, 1931 a son of the late Christian & Molly Bergman. He was an honorable discharged veteran of the United States Army after faithfully serving his country. He was awarded two purple hearts for his foreign war service. Bill has made the Polk County area his home for the past thirty plus years where was know by many as "the tire man". He was a hard working man who loved being a father, grandfather and great grandfather. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Linda Darlene Bergman. He leaves behind to cherish his memory three sons James Bergman and his companion Karen, Gerald Dean Bergman and Christ Edward Bergman Sr., one daughter Kelly Sue Terrell, grandson Scott Bergman along with eleven other grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, two siblings, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.
A celebration of his life is planned for Monday night, August 8th, 2016 at 7:00 PM in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown Road NW in Cleveland, TN and will conclude with military honors. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 5:00 PM until the 7:00 PM service time in the funeral home parlor.
