Nathaniel Ellison

Chester "Nathaniel" Ellison, age 77, of Sweetwater, TN, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on January 3, 2025. He was a carpenter for 53 years of his life. Nathaniel was also an avid hunter and fisher who loved the outdoors.

Nathaniel was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Ellison and Marie Ellison Jones; brother Danny Ellison; and daughter Lisa Ellison Miller.

Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Carol Cooper Ellison; sons Don (Barbara) Ellison and Tommy (April) Ellison of Sweetwater, TN. Chester is also survived by his six grandchildren, one step-granddaughter, three great-grandchildren, and four step-great-grandchildren; sisters Marry Anne Yates of Madisonville, Ruth Roberts of Niota, Susanna Hochertz of Riceville, Eve Morgan of Athens; and one brother, Samuel Ellison of Madisonville; and a host of nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed.

There will be a graveside service on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at the Sweetwater Valley Memorial Park at 3:30pm.
