Cheryl Hicks

Cheryl Beaty Hicks, a resident of Cleveland, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at her home Thursday, January 9, 2025, at the age of 77. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years Dwight Allen Hicks, Sr., her parents Loyd and Mabel Beaty, all of Cleveland. Mrs. Hicks was a faithful member of Shenandoah Baptist Church, Cleveland.

Mrs. Hicks is survived by her daughter, Lisa Hicks Vincent and son-in-law Tommy Vincent of Newport News, Virginia; son, Dwight Allen Hicks, Jr. of Cleveland; grandchildren Bryan Erwin, Sarah Hicks, and Jacob Hicks; brother, Terry L. Beaty and wife Tammy Beaty of Cleveland; sister, Karen Hamby and husband Dean Hamby of Jefferson, Georgia; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Cheryl dearly loved her family and Church family. As she loved, so was she loved and will be greatly missed by all.

The family will receive friends Saturday, January 18 from 12:00 to 2:00 at Shenandoah Baptist Church, 138 Osment Road SE, Cleveland, with the Funeral Service to follow with Pastor David Gamble and Rev. Dean Hamby officiating. Interment will be at the Beaty Cemetery, Cleveland with Bryan Erwin, Jacob Hicks, Hunter Whaley, Ashton Whaley, Zachary Melton, and Seth Melton serving as pallbearers. Terry L. Beaty will serve as honorary pallbearer

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to either Shenandoah Baptist Church, Cleveland, Tennessee; American Cancer Society; or Hospice of Chattanooga.
