Charlotte Taylor

August 30, 1958 — January 6, 2024

Charlotte Jean Taylor, 65, a lifelong resident of Clevleand-McDonald, TN went home to be with our Lord on January 6, 2024 after a battle with cancer.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Rev. LV and Ula Mae Ledford of McDonald, TN and Marshall and Martha Taylor of Meigs County, TN; several aunts and uncles; parents Joe A. and Jessie L. Taylor of Calhoun, TN (McDonald, TN); sister Brenda K. Taylor of Cleveland, TN and son Michael Kirkpatrick of Cleveland, TN.

Survivors include her son Brian Rose (Ronnie) of Polk County, TN; brothers Bobby (Teresa) Taylor of Sweetwater, TN and Donnie Taylor of Cleveland, TN; special family friend "brother" Randy Williams of Cleveland. She had two nephews Ray Taylor (Jessica) of San Antonio, Texas and David Taylor (Tiffany) of Sweetwater, TN. Her grandchildren include Hannah Rose, Alex Rose, Brian Rose Jr., Donovan Kirkpatrick, Camery Kirkpatrick and one great grandaughter Athena Rose; several great nieces and one great nephew and numerous extended family members and relatives.

She was a graduate of Bradley Central High School class of 1978 and she worked many years as a seamstress in the manufacturing business and as a CNA for Life Care of Cleveland. She loved to occupy her time by reading her bible and religious books, doing word puzzles and cross-stitch. She loved to write poetry and was hoping one day to have it published. But most of all, she loved spending time with family, friends but most of all enjoying her new great granddaughter Athena.

Charlotte was of the Baptist/Church of God tradition and she grew up singing with her family in various churches. They were known as the "Taylor Family." In later years she sang with her mother Jessie and Randy as the "Pilgrim Travelers." She loved the Lord with all she had and loved to talk about Him.

Charlotte will be greatly missed by all but now she is pain and worry free and rejoicing with our Lord and Savior. I'm sure all who has went before was there to welcome her with open arms. Now she is singing in that heavily choir.

In lieu of flowers, please just keep the family in your thoughts and prayers. We love each and everyone who has sent their words of encouragement and thoughts. Remember to tell someone you love them today because tomorrow is not promised. Most of all make sure you know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior before its too late.

Charlotte's family will receive friends on Saturday January 13th from 12pm until 2pm at the Olive Branch Event Center located at 109 Interstate Drive NW, Cleveland, TN 37312 with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 2pm. Rev. Terry Ledford will be officiating. She will be laid to rest following the service at Cofer Cemetery.

You are invited to share a personal memory of Charlotte or your condolences with her family at her online memorial located at www.companionfunerals.com. Companion Funeral & Cremation Service and the Cody family are honored to assist the Taylor family with these arrangements.
