Charlie Pugh

March 19, 1946 — March 24, 2024

Charlie Daniel Pugh, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully in Cleveland, Tennessee, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on March 19, 1946, in Atlanta, Georgia, to Joe and Willie Mae Pugh, Charlie was a beacon of light and laughter to all who knew him. He is survived by his devoted wife, Jolinda Pugh, his loving sons, Joel, Scott (Kelly), and Randall (Amanda) Pugh, and his adored grandchildren, Elisha, Jonathan, Jeremiah, Alexis, Valor, and Honor. He was a beloved brother to Kathy (Bob) and was preceded in death by his siblings, Joe and Diane; and many nieces and nephews.

Charlie, known affectionately to all as just that, was a man of character and charisma. He proudly served his country as a veteran of both the Navy and the Army National Guard, embodying the values of dedication and service. Following his military career, Charlie applied his remarkable people skills to a successful career in sales, where he was respected by colleagues and clients alike. He was not only a karaoke champion and an Elvis impersonator, but also the imaginative CEO of North Pole Enterprise and the co-founder of the Clause Brothers. He has filled many roles with his larger than life personality, and put his own spin on many characters including Father Time, Santa, Cupid, Uncle Charlie the Clown, and Benjamin Hadley Boregard the 3rd (BEN HAD) for short. His creative endeavors brought joy and entertainment to many, and his legacy in these roles will be fondly remembered.

Above all, Charlie was a family man. His love for his wife, children, and grandchildren knew no bounds. He instilled in them the importance of laughter, love, and creativity. Charlie's ability to make everyone around him laugh was one of his most endearing qualities, and his presence was a source of comfort and happiness.

Described by those who knew him best as funny, loving, and creative, Charlie's impact on the world was as profound as it was positive. His legacy is one of love, laughter, and the joy of living life to the fullest.

As we say goodbye to Charlie Daniel Pugh, we celebrate a life well-lived and a man well-loved. His spirit will continue to inspire and guide us, and his memory will be treasured forever.
