Charles Winford Howell

Charles “Winford” Howell, age 77 passed away on Wednesday February 1st, 2017 in a local hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was a member of Westwood Baptist Church and worked in the medical field most of his adult life.
Winford is preceded in death by his parents Buster and Edith Howell, grandparents Sol and Bertha Officer, Eldon and Effie Howell and a special aunt Pauline Moore.
Winford is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Billie Howell, three sons Tim, Chip (Penny) Howell and Carey Howell, one uncle Kenneth Howell, two step children John (Brenda) McKee and Sherry (Jeff) Barber, eight grandchildren Rebecca (Brad) Donegan, Briana, Megan, Nick, Cameron, Katelyn, Caden and Caleb Howell. He is also survived three step grandchildren Joe Gressett, Jay Sprague and Kris McKee seven great-grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
A celebration of Winford’s life is planned for Sunday, February 5th, 2017 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown Road NW in Cleveland, TN with the Reverend Jim Caywood and the Reverend Dwight Herod officiating. Interment in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens with Chip Howell, Carey Howell, John McKee, Nick Howell, Jeff Barber and Gene Crowson serving as pallbearers. Junior pallbearers will be Caden and Caleb Howell and honorary pallbearers will be Timmy Howell, Kenneth Howell, Larry Smith and Brad Donegan.
The family will receive friends in the funeral home parlor on Sunday afternoon from 1:00 PM until the 3:00 PM service time.
