Charles Wayne Kesley

Charles Wayne Kesley, 71, of Cleveland, TN went home to Jesus May 30, 2019. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad after a long, distinquished career. Wayne enjoyed taking pictures and making amazing slide shows for everyone he loved. One of his greatest pleasures was taking his beloved dog, Sassy, for walks in his wheelchair. On Thursday, he was able to walk without any assistance, holding his head high and be reunited in heaven with his dad Robert Kesley, mother Delia Kesley McDaniel, brothers Russell Kesley, Kenneth Kesley and Donny Kesley and his grandson Casey Gunnoe-Wooten. He is survived by his best friend and wife Shirley Kesley, daughters Wendy Pugh (Jim), Cheria Wooten (Ross) and grandchildren Josh Pelfrey (Cary), Matt Pelfrey, Adam Pelfrey (Paige), Preston Pugh, Rachel Burns, Allix Wooten, Kea Wooten and Sarah Wooten. Great-grand children Kaleb Pelfrey, Hunter Price, Brylee Pelfrey, Korey Pelfrey, Easton Pelfrey, Zoey Pelfrey, Kiley Burns, Claudia Burns, Brodey Grant, Zoey (Sissy) Wooten. One Brother Roy Kesley (Katherine). Sisters-in-law Charlotte Kesley and Katherine Kesley along with numerous neices and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM in the Cleveland chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2415 Georgetown Road in Cleveland, TN. A service celebrating his life will follow the visitation at 3:00 PM with the Reverend Todd Stevison and the Revernd Rusty Asble officiating.

Interment will follow in the Lee Cemetery with sons in laws Jim Pugh and Ross Wooten and grandsons Josh Pelfrey, Matt Pelfrey, Adam Pelfrey and Preston Pugh serving as the pallbearers.
