Charles "Sonny" Ward

Charles “Sonny” Ward, 79, a lifelong resident of Athens, TN passed away on Thursday afternoon, February 13, 2020 at his home. He was born on December 25, 1940.
He is preceded in death by his parents Chester & Ida Belle Ward, wife Alma Jean Ward, three sons Roger, Charlie & Mike Ward and several siblings.
Sonny leaves behind to cherish his memory three children Brenda King, Angie Burton (Tom) and Cheston Ward, one sister Laura Mae Morgan, six grandchildren, four great grandchildren, his beloved furry companion “Little Bit” and numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.
A graveside service is planned for Monday, February 17, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the Upper Spring Creek Cemetery with the Reverend Gary King officiating.
