Charles Emmett Queen, 83, of Cleveland, Tennessee passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023. Charles was born on September 15, 1940, in Cleveland, Tennessee to the late Earl and Hazel Knight. He was a dedicated member of the Echoes of Mercy Baptist Church. Charlie loved the lord and always talked about him. He was apart of 2 mission trips to Guatemala and Honduras where he led many to the Lord. He also shared in a local missionary with his dear friend Heather Guthrie.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Beverly Queen; mother-in-law, Bernice Dixon; and his sister, Billy Dean Swafford.
He leaves behind to his memory his son, Chris (Cathy) Queen; daughter, Terri (Mark) Beaty; step daughter, Brenda Jenkins; his niece, Pam (David) Smith; great nieces, Janice (Coy) Maupin, Lavonda (Gary) Hysinger; sisters, Brenda (Curtis) Crisp; and Barbara Rogers; his grandchildren, Whitney Caylor; Kristy (David) Clark; and his great grandchild, Stella Clark; along with a host of extended family and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, September 25, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Echoes of Mercy Baptist Church with Pastor Rob Works and Pastor Daniel White officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm prior to the service. A Graveside service is to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
