Charles Robert Oswalt, Jr.

Charles Robert Oswalt, Jr., 76, lifelong resident of Chattanooga, TN, passed away January 5, 2024, at his residence. Born October 25, 1947, to the late Charles and Clara Oswalt and of the Christian faith.  He served in the United States Army (Vietnam era), received the National Defense Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and Marksman Medal. Charles loved his dog, Oakie, sports, and music. 

Survived by his daughter's, Stephanie (Andy) Davis, Dana Oswalt, and Melissa (Mark) McNabb; siblings, Sandy Guffey, Connie Walker, and Debbie Gibson; grandchildren, Jordan (Kelsey) Shelton, Hannah (Tate) Nance, Robert Alexander (Amber) Shelton, Katie (Colton) McNabb, Mark McNabb, Jr., and Hunter McNabb; great grandchildren, Jensen Shelton, Atch Shelton, Jaylynn Shelton, Bailey Nance, Olivia Nance, and Adalynn Nunley; best friend and companion, Jackie Cordell.

A Graveside service will be held at 12:30 PM, Friday, January 12, 2024, at Chattanooga National Cemetery with full military honors.
