Charles Mull

January 22, 1935 — June 26, 2024

Charles J. Mull, 89, of Cleveland, passed away on June 26, 2024, leaving his earthly home for his heavenly home. During his last days, he was surrounded by his loving wife, children, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William (Bill) and Stella Mull and special sister-in-law Brenda Mull.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years Ruth Mull; daughters Lisa Mull and Leta Johnson (Billy); granddaughter Amber Moore (Steve); great-granddaughters Aubrey Nation (Cody) and Kaylee Moore; great-great granddaughter Juniper Nation; sons Steve Weber (Pam) and Travis Weber (Laurie); grandson Jason Weber (Melody); brother Fred Mull (Janice) and special niece and nephew Tammy Beck (Steve) and Jerry Mull (Piper).

Charles was a Sergeant in the US Army, serving his country from 1953-1955. He also served as a Reserve Officer with the Cleveland Police Department. He was employed at Swafford Nursery for over 30 years before retiring.

He was a longtime member of Philippi Baptist Church where he enjoyed singing special songs such as "The Lighthouse", "God Don't Move That Mountain", and "I Can't Even Walk Without You Holding My Hand", reflecting his own journey in life.

A memorial service will be held at Philippi Baptist Church on Monday, July 8th, with visitation from 12pm-1pm and the service immediately following with the Reverend Sam Hooker officiating.

A graveside service will be at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors at a later date.
