Obituary

Charles Blackburn Sr., 69, a resident of Cleveland passed away on Thursday December 8, 2011 at his residence. Charles was born on December 5, 1942 in Brinkley, AR a son of the late Russell and Viola Blackburn.
Charles and his wife moved their family to Cleveland approximately 24 years ago from Ashtabula, OH where he was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He attended the Kinser Church of God, was an avid reader, had a wonderful sense of humor, but will be most remembered for being a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Joy E. Blackburn, two sons Charles Blackburn Jr. (Teresa) of Cleveland, and Robert Blackburn (Crystal) of Pickerington, OH, one daughter Sheila Fuhs (Michael) also of Pickering, OH, one brother Clarence Leo Blackburn (Marjorie) of Carlsbad, NM. He also leaves behind to cherish his memory twelve grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and a host of other extend family members.
A graveside service is planned for Monday, December 12, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens with Pastor Guinn Green officiating.
