Obituary


Charles Lee Pritchard, 86, a resident of Ft. Myers, FL and formally of Cleveland, TN passed away at his home on Saturday, December 14th, 2013. Charlie was born in Cleveland on February 7th, 1927 a son of the late Carl & Christine Pritchard. Charles made Cleveland his home until he relocated to Ft. Myers in 1952 leaving Cleveland to join friends working at the Snack House in downtown Ft. Myers. He later became a rural mail carrier for the Untied States Postal Service and retired from the Postal service in 1994.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one brother Hoyt Pritchard.

Charlie leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of sixty nine years Lillie Burger Pritchard, one daughter Janice Maupin and husband Larry of Orange Park, FL, one son Phillip Pritchard and his wife Bevalie of Longwood, FL. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.

A celebration of his life is planned for Thursday, December 19th, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Stuart Park Baptist Church located at 850 17th Street with the Reverend Kevin Mendel officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens with Keith Pritchard, Brian Pritchard, Justin Maupin, Kyle Pritchard, Phillip Pritchard and Larry Maupin serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 11:00 AM until the 2:00 PM service time.
