Charles Hoyt Runion

Charles Hoyt Runion, 74, a resident of Cleveland, TN passed away on Friday, June 29, 2018 at his home. He was born in McMinn County on January 13, 1944 a son of the late Joseph H. & Nancy Ella Moss Runion. He was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Air Force. Hoyt was an electrician until retirement and also served as Pastor of the Church of God of Cleveland for many years.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers Samuel David Runion and Joseph Paul Runion and one daughter Sherrie Howell.

Hoyt leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife Genevieve Runion, one son Steve Randolph (Tonya) of Athens, TN, two daughters Tricia Bell (Ken) of Concord, NC and Tamantha Thompson (Cliff) of Winston Salem, NC, fourteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren, six nieces and nephews, one brother Titus Runion (Patsy), one sister in law Francine Runion, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.

A celebration of his life is planned for Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 4:00 PM in the Dixon chapel of the North Cleveland Church of God located at 335 11th Street NE in Cleveland, TN with Brother Clarence Campbell and Brother Marty Simpson officiating. Interment will follow in the Cedar Spring Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday afternoon from 2:00 PM until the 4:00 PM service time at the Dixon chapel.
