Obituary
DTC Charles Fred Johnson Jr, of Kissimmee, FL, passed away on Monday December 31, 2012 at a healthcare facility in Chattanooga, TN. He was the son of the late Charles and Anna Johnson and a resident of Kissimmee for 37 years. He was of the Baptist faith. Charles was a veteran of the US Navy serving as a dental tech chief. After retiring from service, he spent 20 years working at the VA hospital in Orlando, FL. He served in Pearl Harbor as well as Vietnam, where he was awarded the Service Medal and Navy Achievement Medal with combat "V." He was also awarded the RVN Campaign Medal and the Presidential Unit Citation.
In addition to his mother and father, Charles is preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice Johnson and stepson, Harvey Gehrls. He is survived by Harvey's children: Cindy Moss of Cleveland and Charles Gehrls of Kissimmee, and three step grandchildren, Frank Rausch of Kenosha, WI, Sheila Nelson of Cleveland, TN, and Edward Martinez of Farmington, New Mexico. He is also survived by several other extended family members and friends.
